Road Trip!

We just got back from a mini roadtrip, touring the back roads of middle Missouri, in search of Frankenstein! What a relaxing and wonderful time we had - laughing and enjoying our time on the road with buds. This area of Missouri was inhabited by German immigrants that loved the land because it reminded them of their home - and you can their handiwork in the grapefields and the architecture everywhere you look.
I love the old farmhouses and barns - and usually spend my time trying to capture a bit of it going 55mph on the back of a hog - sometimes I get lucky and actually get the perfect shot ... and I'll be sharing a few photos in the coming days. I loved this home we passed and can only imagine it in it's finest day -

Everywhere we went, we saw graveyards, littered with many many bouquets and wreaths - remembering and honoring those who have passed before us. Please, this weekend as you are relaxing and enjoying your day with family and friends, say a special prayer of thanks for those who have fought to allow us the freedoms that we most often take for granted.
Happy Memorial Day, friends!
