I miss you, Mom ♥

Today is a pensive day for me. Sad, but very thought provoking at the same time. It is the anniversary of my mom's death ... she was taken from us 43 years ago ~ in 1966 at the very young age of 38 yrs old.
(this is a photo of her on the left, with her sister. I'm not sure who the young child is, perhaps a cousin?)

I had just turned 12 yrs old and even in a child's mind, I knew my life would never be the same. Sometimes I wonder if she had any idea what was going to happen ... because the first 11 years, my world was filled with such love and care and concern. She taught me so very much in the way of how a person should treat another - good solid moral footings that have lasted clear through my life.

Everyone loved my mother - she was the tenderness of a touch, the sympathy of a hug, the concern of a true heart and the warmth of genuine love.

I know she is in Heaven - and I cannot wait to see her again.

I love you, Mom and I miss you ♥

awwww Cookie, I know your sweet Mom is looking down on you w/ the utmost love and pride! You are just amazing, in spite of, or perhaps b/c of the loss you've suffered. I'm so sorry your Mommy was taken away from you at such a tender age. I know you will see her again, and I know she waits patiently for that day.

It's so hard to loose a parent. They mean so much to us. I know how hard it is to loose a parent but the beauty is one day you will see her again. It really won't be that long. Like Peanut said, she is looking down on her wonderful daughter with pride. God bless.
