The Boil....

On Sunday, we got to meet Larry and Patti's son, Troy who drove up from Atlanta, along with his wife Mandy and their 3 boxers and a whole mess of seafood in coolers.

Of course, I had to get it all documented ... it was going to be a seafood boil of great magnitude and I'd never seen this done before! It started with Troy taking inventory of the goods and getting the boiling recipe prepared.

Just look at the expression on Mandy's face as she does a drive-by... enjoying the view lol....

Troy brought Alaskan king crab legs, a whole big ole mess of crawfish, 2 kinds of jumbo shrimp, andouillee sausage, new potatoes and corn on the cob! wowow.... what a feast!

Patti got the tables prepared and Troy began to pour out the goodness for all to partake....

Darrell looks just a little too happy about what is awaiting him! Now don't get me wrong - everything was absolutely delicious, but personally I found it to be a whole lot of work for a little bit of goodness digging out those crawfish... now the king crab legs and Jumbo shrimp?
Well... that was no problemo

So the cleanup was in the bag - literally... in no time and then it was time to relax and give the dogs some attention! Let me introduce you to the sweet dog named Poochie - who secretly wanted to come home with me... (she told me so, I promise!)

This is Madison - who woke up one morning, blind in both eyes. She does just fine getting around, thank you very much - and totally stole my heart!

This is Mareeba - the middle girl and a sweet lil licker! lol

And lastly - meet Bandit ...
the alpha boy of the bunch but a real gem of a fella!

It was an awesome day and one I won't soon forget!

Oh yeah!!! A shrimp boil. That's what I call it, even though there's more than just shrimp. It's so much fun and delicious too. OK, now I'm going to have to do a shrimp boil again. Thanks for inviting us to your party.

Cookie we had a shrimp boil just like that about a month ago at my FIL's place. It was the first time I had it fixed that way and seen it just poured over the table like that. Though I wanted it put in serving bowls :) it was pretty darn tasty ! You know how I love all them doggies.
