What I Did On My Summer Vacation

After 1o fun-filled days, we made it home from Sturgis late last night and that old saying is so true... "there's no place like home"!

We experienced so much and I'll share more about that later but as I was looking at pics today, I realized that my vacation was spent largely putting on and taking off my rain gear!

I'm not sure exactly how many pictures my friend got of me in one mode of undress or another, but I can tell you I became a master of the frog-tog before the trip was over.... and with good reason!

We experience weather that you just wouldn't believe and one incident that occurred as we crossed over the Colorado / WY border had us riding straight into a wall of water.

We knew we were heading into trouble with a capital T, but plunged ahead on a trek to our destination of Casper WY ... what we didn't realize was that after making it through the immense wind and rain, it would reform behind us and start following us down the highway, like the devil was on our tail!
I could feel hubs accelerating a little more each time he looked in the rear-view mirror and luckily, the storm turned off away from us.

Let's just say that was an adrenaline rush I won't soon forget!

I think I would be having a rush also. You weren't "running against the wind" you were running away from. Glad that you made it back home safely.
